Lodge Real Estate

Property management makes for a stress-free investment

With the real estate market looking positive for investors with strong tenant demand and plenty of available listings, Bryce saw an opportunity. The chance to secure a long-term investment for his future was too good to ignore, which led him to browse through real estate listings.

“I saw the Chedworth property on a real estate app and went to the open home,” Bryce says. “The property was already a rental and had tenants who were keen to stay due to its Hukanui Primary school zoning and because they liked the house.”

With a new kitchen and bathroom, fresh carpets, a DVS system, and the property’s all-round low maintenance, it was hard not to see why.

Reassured with Healthy Homes requirements met

An added bonus for Bryce was that the property also met the Healthy Homes conditions for insulation and heating.

“There was nothing I had to do,” Bryce says. Which was ideal. As an accountant, Bryce’s days are often busy, with little time to dedicate to fixing up a property to meet the new requirements

Owning a rental is easy with a property manager

Because of his busy lifestyle, Bryce decided to use a Lodge property manager to oversee the day-to-day management of his rental. From chasing up rent to organising repairs and maintenance, managing a property can be a stressful, tedious and time-consuming job—one that often doesn’t adhere to waking hours when things go wrong.

“I didn’t want to deal with any of that,” Bryce said. “I wanted to go to work each day and come home and not have to think about it.”

Which is how Bryce came to use Zack Cathcart to manage his new investment and ensure the property was well taken care of. Whether it’s maintenance and repairs or tenants screening and background checks, Zack’s got it all covered.

“Zack is great. His easy-going and friendly nature makes tenants comfortable communicating with him,” Bryce says. “When something goes wrong, he’s quick to let us know. He’s great at finding quotes and making sure any work done to the property is of good quality. And he’s prepared to do the extras outside of business hours if it’s necessary.

“He really goes above and beyond.”

With a property manager at his side, Bryce can now focus on the things that matter—and rest in the knowledge that his investment is in capable hands.
