Congratulations, you’ve made it through the year that was 2018. It was a year of Government proposals and reforms (and not just for the property industry).
But it wasn’t all doom and gloom. The rental industry in Hamilton continues to grow at a steady rate and we continue to welcome new landlords and tenants through our doors every day.
We hope you’ve got plans to enjoy a well-earned rest and a beer or bubbles around the barbie this festive season. In case you were wondering, and unlike a lot of other agencies, it’s business as usual for us over the break – there’s no chance of the ‘leave it ‘til New Year’ mentality around here.
Don’t worry too much about us though, we still find plenty of time to unwind and recharge. We’re fortunate to have a large, yet close, network of dedicated property managers to see landlords and tenants right through the holidays.
And in case you think we’re sitting down with our feet on our desks over the break, you might be surprised to know summer can be one of our busiest times of the year – you never know who pops up needing to rent a house.
So in case you need the details for your diary, here’s what we’ll be up to over the holiday break.
Filling empty properties
The summer months often see an influx of students and workers looking to make Hamilton their home for the next year or longer. While we’re not yet a top 10 holiday destination, our quality rentals are in hot demand, so it stands to reason we’re completely available when landlords need their property filled with great tenants, and great tenants need a quality home.
Keeping arrears in check
A sad fact across the property management industry is that rent arrears can be more likely to occur during the festive months. Christmas can be a tough time for many families, which is why we work extra closely with tenants who may be affected during that time to address issues as they come up.
Your leaky tap will still get fixed
With our wide network of property managers around over the summer, we can still get on to your jobs straight away. In fact, we often get repairs sorted before tenants even know they need repairing. Property managers come in all shapes and sizes, but only a Lodge City Rentals property manager anticipates your needs and goes above and beyond to fix issues quickly.
And thanks to the great relationships we’ve built up over the years, our tradie mates are more than happy to pop round to fix your broken window or leaky tap (we’ve called them on Christmas Day before too, just to test this theory. It worked).
